Reflecting Panel

Description: This work is part of a series of metallic-themed pieces. “Reflecting Panel” is created out of layers of silver acrylic paint over black ground, hints of bronze, bits of gold leaf, bougainvillea petals, sheet music and paper. The work reflects my love of combing painting with collage. This painting will be shipped unframed, wired for hanging. The painting is on stretched canvas (2 ½ inch thick stretcher bars). The inspiration for this piece was seeing the reflections on the back of “tanker” trucks on the road – ever notice how those highly polished trucks act as mirrors, reflecting, distorting and refracting light?
